Eastland Chronicle, 2021

This project was conceived to document and research site-specific artworks, such as sculptures and architecture, in mainland China that cannot be relocated to museum settings. It was planned as a video-based public education initiative to make art more accessible during pandemic restrictions. As the team leader and director, I initiated the project, developed the timeline, and assembled a team of experts in Chinese art history, filming, and editing, including Xie Tian, Liang Rongrong, Cheng Bidisi, and Zhang Lvying. The project was advised by Professor Geng Shuo at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. Although the project could not be carried out due to the pandemic, its conceptual framework continues to inform my current research and curatorial practice. If you are interested in this project or its potential future directions, please feel free to contact me.
